# Hukam Labs

Hukam Labs is an independent technology initiative founded and engineered by Waleed Ahmad ("Hukam"), an independent software developer and AI pipeline specialist based in Pakistan (PSEB Registered Freelancer).

The lab's core philosophy is: **"Useful software should be accessible."**

We engineer standalone desktop applications, browser extensions, and local AI pipelines that run directly on consumer hardware — without forced subscriptions, telemetry tracking, or artificial paywalls. All projects are published openly on GitHub under permissive licenses (MIT and GPL).

## Engineering Principles

1. **Local & Private Execution**: Processing happens locally on the user's GPU, CPU, or browser sandbox. No user data, prompts, or images are transmitted to external servers.
2. **Accessible by Default**: Useful tools are distributed without forced subscription tiers, artificial feature gating, or telemetry trackers.
3. **Genuine Open Source**: Codebases are hosted on GitHub under permissive licenses (MIT and GPL). Anyone may inspect, audit, fork, or build from source.
4. **Engineering over Hype**: Projects are built to solve real workflow bottlenecks, not to market speculative AI promises.
