Overview

Generative AI tools (Midjourney, ComfyUI, Automatic1111, DALL-E) frequently output JPEG and PNG containers that violate strict ISO container standards. While consumer web browsers tolerate missing termination chunks, professional publishing software like Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop will reject files with:

"Error: The file format cannot be placed." or "The file is damaged and could not be opened."

AI Image Forensic Repair performs a lossless pixel buffer read, strips corrupt metadata and damaged chunk markers, normalizes color profiles to standard sRGB/RGBA, and rebuilds pristine ISO-compliant headers.

The Bottleneck

Designers trying to place AI generated assets into Adobe Illustrator get blocked by strict container parsers. Manual re-saving in consumer viewers causes generational JPEG compression loss.

The Architecture

Performs direct pixel buffer extraction, strips damaged EXIF/tEXt blocks, synthesizes proper IEND/EOI markers, and re-encodes pure ISO-compliant containers losslessly in batch.

Key Capabilities

Container Header Reconstruction

Detects truncated PNG streams and appends valid terminal IEND chunks, restoring file integrity without modifying pixel color values.

Color Space Normalization

Converts erratic palette indexes and malformed ICC profiles into standardized, universally supported sRGB and RGBA spaces.

Recursive Batch Subfolder Processing

Process entire nested project libraries containing hundreds of assets in seconds with real-time status reporting.

Safety Backups & In-Place Modification

Offers safe export to an isolated Repaired_HQ directory or in-place overwrite with automatic timestamped backup archives.
